It is indeed. Didn't know that about onions. A white/brown onion will probably do me 2 meals but I usually plan it so that I use the other half within 2/3 days. A red salad onion however (which this one is) can last me upto a week. I usually slice the dry bit off the end before using though. Never had a problem. Is that half an Onion in Tin Foil? Hopefully not stored more than a day. Thats a potential health risk otherwise......apparently.

Never use it Nymz as I don't like any mayo. I just keep it in in case visitors want it. Haven't checked the use by date on it for a while so could even be out of date. lolThat garlic mayo in the bottle is rank
Tin Foil isn't air tight so the onion is absorbing all the nasty whiffs in the fridge, if indeed there are any. So to then use the onion afterwards isn't advised. Don't have any preference on supermarkets really but generally go to Asda as it's the nearest (3 miles away). I live in a village and don't drive so am reliant on neighbours for transport. So depends on where they are going. The local Asda is actually very good and stocks lot's of local produce.

Lucky you don't have a Shed then!As an aside, I've been having lots of problems with the storage on my mobile phone lately and have been deleting all sorts of files and apps just to be able to continue using it. I'm not the best when it comes to tech stuff so asked my neighbours son to have a look at it. So my phone is at his mercy and he's going through the various files including my photo's. Of course the only photo's still on my phone were pics of the contents of my fridge. lol He must have thought I was a right whopper, but at least he was gracious enough not to say anything.
Believe it or not you actually need planning permission for a shed around here.Lucky you don't have a Shed then!
Tell him you're itemising to make weekly shopping easier and more efficient.
The grated cheese is for my indulgent cheese and onion recipe (posted above) and for when I make an omelette. The butter usually has a good date so when it's on offer I usually stock up. One of those butters will last me a month. And one of the milks is nearly empty. A bottle will usually last 2 weeks depending on how often I have a bowl of cereal for breakfast.Well that stops me having to type it. I too noticed a bag of Grated Cheese. Very indulgent. Nice to see the Fever Tree mixer for the Gin. A superior mixer. And 2 bottles of Cravendale and 2 spreadable butters. Is it Pay Day?
Only use lemo for my summer cocktails. That can will still be there next May.I initially overlooked the door as well. Gotta go full CSI for this thread...
(properly sneaky schwepps lemonade hidden as well)
whats on offer next time you throw a rager...Only use lemo for my summer cocktails. That can will still be there next May.
The lemo normally goes in a Pimms (spiked with vodka of course) or one I made up myself comprised of gin, a fruit liqueur (Chambord or Cassis) and fresh lime topped up with lemo. I've just brought back a fig liqueur and a honey liqueur from Malta and can't wait to try them next summer. I do other cocktails too but they're the ones I put lemo in. I'm usually pissed from April until September.whats on offer next time you throw a rager...
