iv just read on wikipedia that Arshavin can play in a number of positions. winger, attacking midfeilder, shadow striker, or deep lying forward. mcfadden ++++++++ ? moysie likes his versitility and if Arshavin realy is only £8m maybe we could spend the money we got from faddy the deal, ino hes cup tied but still...

If Tommy manages to be offloaded (as everywhere is claiming) then we could afford them both surely.

We'ed only save on his wages... tho if we got another loan in that would prob cover that.

Arshavin sounds great, but seems very much an unknown. I think Sidwell is probably more needed and likely, especially if Graveson goes.

i cant think why, but for some reason i think Arshavin would fit in better

with our style of play and interchange than Sidwell. top player imo, but would

we have the money left to secure him after Pienaar and Fernandez?

especially as we are still looking for the Carsley replacement.

After that tackle I would prefer not to see Sidwell in our shirt remember as blues we have standards to maintain remember what happened to Rioch(y)

sidwell is likely as he is an established premier league player. box to box with an eye for goal. would be a great addition to the squad.

i've only seen arshavin on the efc website highlights.. but he looked really good. from my limited scouting i'd go for sidwell.

thing is teppic if he aint good enough for a team one or two places above us - why is he good enough for us? And how can we expect to eclipse teams above us with players that haven't done it for them.

OK, Howard and Neville have been good for us - but I always thought Howard was undervalued and Neville brings leadership - but Sidwell seems little more than a competent midfielder to me; like another Simon Davies.

I think we should set our sights a little higher.

that logic is dead right.

i'm delighted we are bringing in players like fernandez now. like for like, sidwell might be considered better than carsley. but's it's up to moyes to decide. i think sidwell would be a great addition to the squad though.

if moyes got to look at arshavin up close in the uefa- then there is another added bonus of being in the competition.

i think moyes has made some poor decisions in the past with certain players but i have total confidence in him these days to deliver quality.

i'm sure moyes subscribes to your thinking leonbil, that if a player does not improve the pool of players he will not buy for the sake of buying.

Totally agree with you, no point of us taking player off them that couldn't make it in there team, we need to be taking there best player off them if we are to move forward!

But first we need to offer some CL football next season!

It's a no brainer - Arshavin. We want exciting players who will add to the likes of Arteta, Fernandes and Pienaar, not someone like Sidwell who's likely to spend most of most matches on a yellow card and be suspended half the time!

I would like to state here and now that I want neither. If you want logic then I guess I will have to sober up.

I offer this for now"They don't suit us"
