Silly Season January 2014

And that is with us sitting right in the thick of the CL hunt mate and not dipping into the end of season tv money, when its pretty much guaranteed now to be top 8 or higher for purposes of figuring out the final amount we will get, the backing him with a bit of money quote from kenwright at the initial conference HAS to be evaluated by us as the kone and robles money making all your points pretty spot on about the rest of the figures
So what you are saying is we will go with what we've got? Great.

The Leroy Fer money in January 2013 is where the Kone & Robles money came from. That was £8m, Kone cost £6m, Robles was around £2m.

Fellaini out for £27m, Anichebe out for £6m, McCarthy in for £13m.

That eaves £20m. Take away optimistically £5-6m for the Barry & Lukaku loans and if you REALLY want to bail out Kenwright you can talk about agent fees for £4m and worst case scenario it's still £10m in the back pocket, but realistically it should be closer to £15m.

If we don't spend at least £10m this window, I'll be keeping a careful eye on OOC again...

You missed out the sell on fee to Liege for Fellaini.

I'm hoping that with all his media savvy that he obviously has mate, Martinez will play a blinder and put pressure through little comments and words in shell likes about it, force kenwright into not doing a houdini act, we should be spending 15m this window without sales or its just more fuel for the Blue bill bonfire imo

33m out 13m in permanently, brennan you honestly think a sell on of 2m 2 loan fees and agent costs on one permanent signing has cost more than 10m, well 20m actually if we dont have any money left?

remember as well that due to felli aking for a move we didnt have to pay him his cut, therefore covering the sell on clause costs effectively

Pressure building amongst the ranks I see for the club to explain again the fin situation with respect to this window.

Phones calls to old hall street must be due soon to soothe the foreheads of the masses.

People seem to be forgetting that the McCarthy purchase was NOT dependant upon the Fellaini sale. There's 3 players we need. Another CM to cover the loss/injury to Barry/McCarthy. For me that'll be Noble from West Ham, that lad knows how to pass. A quick, young winger (Pienaar has been alright this season, but he's ageing). RM knows the Spanish market and could find someone from there, and finally a finisher. Berbatov would be ideal (I'm sure you'll disagree and could point me in a different area), we've become quite amazing at building up play and getting the ball into the box, we need someone who'll score 9/10 chances with the ball at their feet in the box.

Yeah we probably didn't need to sell felliani to pay for the origanal bid of 4m up front and 8mill in instalments and add ons, also take into account it was also a barging tool with united if they thought we were desperate for the cash they could of took us to the cleaners. So anyway it's all crap and the felliani money did pay for the McCarthy deal IMO like.

What was that, 10%, 20% max of the profit? So it's £1-2m max. Still works out comfortably over £10m and closer to £15m.

And as i said just now mate, fellaini putting in a transfer and foregoing his payment effectively covered that payment to Liege

If the club is stuck for a few quid they should put some of the lawn mowers up for sale, they must have a few extra lying around!

or we could ask one of the MIA directors to give us a loan for a lending fee - Pass the brandy Bill this is going to be an excellent start to the year, regards Robert.

Selling players in order to bring in players...four months after pocketing a massive surplus in player trading.

They are utterly shameless.

I think we will have 10 mill to spend from the sales. I don't think roberto would spend the tv money before summer . In my opinion that should be used to get the lukaku replacement in

Can't stand the way some Evertonians seem determined to make Kenwright's excuses for him. They just can't cope without trying their very hardest to make up scenarios that result in us not having a penny for anything. Even when Martinez and other club officials such as Elstone have mentioned that there in no need to sell and that there is money available to make our squad stronger.

The simple fact is that Everton spent the LEAST in the premier league last Summer, and ended up with an approximate 10million pound surplus. For the first time in years (since the last TV increase in which we signed Andy Johnson, Joleon Lescott and Kevin Kilbane in one summer for around 13 million) we did not have to sell a player in order to cover a trading loss. This was because the first tranche of TV money covered our loss and the acquisition of Kone and Robles.

We spent the least in the entire league and we are in the middle of receiving the biggest TV cash injection that the world of football has ever seen, and yet Everton are supposedly the only club without a penny to spend. Yeah right.
