Everton target Frederik Sorensen is valued at £8million by Juventus, according to reports in Italy.

The Danish defender is attracting interest from Everton, Galatasaray and Werder Bremen.

Sorensen is co-owned by both Juventus and Bologna, and Corriere di Bologna report that while the latter are open to selling at a lower value, Juventus are determined to hold out for a higher price.

And that means Roberto Martinez will have to fork out a substantial sum if he wants to land the 21-year-old.

If we sign another CB I'd prefer a left footer to complement Jags/John Stones in the future. The lad Indi Martins that's been linked seems ideal, also 21.

..I agree with others that I can't see us paying out on an established CB. It is not a priority. Saying that, we could bring in a youngster with potential without a big tag if RM thinks he might offer some longer-term value. McGeady rumours seem strong, that would count Ince out leaving CM and a forward to also come in.

Buying a defender seems more like something we'd do in the summer, but if he's available and will be sold elsewhere, perhaps it makes sense to secure him now.

How the hell can they prove rape though unless you admit it. lots and lots of Footballers are getting arrested for it now.

The so called victims probably notice they are footballers, done the business with them and then claimed they got raped so they get cash for it.

tbf, birds are just celeb whores these days...throw themselves at footballers.

No way any prem footballer would have to rape any of the little scuzzers.

Dundee United will reject any £750,000 bid from Everton for teenage defender Andrew Robertson.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez and chief scout Kevin Reeves watched Robertson play in United's 2-2 draw with Hibernian at Tannadice on Sunday.

The Blues are preparing a bid, believed to be worth around £750,000, but United will not sell for that price.

19-year-old Robertson is one of a number of exciting prospects to come out of the Scottish club's academy - with Everton also thought to be interested in team-mate John Souttar.

Meanwhile, Ryan Gauld - dubbed the 'new Messi' - has also emerged as a top talent and has been watched by the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Robertson is a striker, not a defender. He also didn't come through the ranks, he dropped down the leagues when released from Celtic and stayed there one season before signing for Utd this season. I'm getting the lowdown on this tomorrow so can hopefully update everyone.
