Anyone wonder if martinez is any good at finding strikers? anytime he spent money on them at wigan they were terrible, just look up bosselli.

Kone was a free and rodillega was signed before he got there.

If it's not Lukaku or Del signing on permanently then you have to admit this thread has been one big girl's blouse.

As others have said, our permanent players are already under contract, it's the least we expect for them to stay. It could even benefit us if one of them moves on for big money (see Fellaini). I want Ross & Baines to stay, but the transfer funds released from their sales will be hardly damaging for us.

Barry is a shoe-in to join anyway (at his age).

Del & Lukaku are the real prize...

kone did a good job for them. like i keep saying, he got jason scotland to score 30 in a season at swansea, so that's my main hope to cling to.

i see why people have their doubts though, case of wiat and see.

Sounds like it could be Lukaku, but I don't want to get my hopes up, so I'm gonna convince myself it's Gueye.

He was just letting us know that some good news was on the way. It's entirely up to everyone else if they want to blow the post up in their heads to mean we're signing Lukaku or we've been bought by a billionaire.

If it's Barry/Baines/Barkley then fantastic. Sure it wouldn't be as positive as Deulofeu/Lukaku, but we should be grateful for the info and not have a go at him because the god news wasn't the exact news we wanted.

Rumours were that Baines wanted out but Kenwright was supposedly doing everything possible to make him think again. I can only read between the lines that this has not been enough

Eh? We still don't know who the player is, or what the result was. We're just assuming stuff based on vague one-liners.

DAVIDMOYES's previous success as our resident ITK means any little thing he says will get micro-analysed. That's more our fault than his. Here's hoping he can give us some details before the blouses are out the wash.
