Dissapointed if the news is new contract they don't need need contracts Martinez reassured us that none of our good players will be going . We shouldnt offer Barkley a new contract yet because the money can get to his head and he may think he's an automatic pick every week. Save the contracts for the summer . Its got to be Baines IMO, he was injured for quite a long time so surely they would have done it then and have decided to announce it in January.
If it ends up to be barkley then that just means Baines is off 100% this month or in the summer

It's laughable how narrow minded some posters are in here. Because some lad comes from Norway instantly makes him guff but because someone is Belgian they get an instant boner.

This will be a tough window for all teams as none of the top players will seek moves due to the world cup.

With Martinez having only come in the summer he might not have got targets proper scouted over a lengthy period. Last thing he'll want to do is spunk 4-5mil on a striker who he's not sure on.

robles is only 21, he's very good for a keeper of that age from what i've seen, just needs to improve his shot stopping, he's different to howard in that he's more comanding of his box and actually comes and claims crosses, which howard never really does. Height issue is oobviously the difference though.

he is also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, he never just puts his foot though it.
