Can't believe some posters on this forum,when Martinez was appointed the scare mongering about the defence aspect of his teams was unreal. Having silenced those critics with one of the best defensive records in the prem,the emphasis has now switched to questioning his ability to provide an effective attack.

This. I would be delighted if this was the good news. Just because Oviedo has come in and done really well, people seem to forget just what a good player baines is. If this is the 'good news' I think baines will now be able to concentrate fully on his football and return to the level of performance we saw last year.
