Fair enough but what if Benteke wants out too? Which wouldn't surprise me since he could do a lot better than them and would probably stand more of a chance in the Belgium squad at a better team.

I was exaggerating but Lukaku has brilliant potential and will be twice the player Benteke is. I don't think he'll cost £25m, probably somewhere closer to what BMG suggested, or a bit more. £15-20m I'd guess.

I like Benteke and could imagine him kicking up a fuss to leave, but Villa shown they will sell on their terms when they asked for £30 million for him in the summer, even if his form doesn't pick up that much I cant see him then going for half of that after signing a new 5 yr deal aswell, which is why I think he'll go for about £25 mil.

on Lukaku I reckon about £23 mil something like that (if he does go)

I'll go with that. In all honesty i doubt we are looking at somebody that high profile. I suspect we will be spreading round what money we have on a couple of players. But we can wildly speculate. Its what the thread is for.

I have a mate at Stoke who just texted me saying we offered them Heitinga for Kenwyne Jones. Jones texted Mark Hughes one hour before the Liverpool game saying he wasn't coming, then texted Pennant to say he was shopping with the mrs. Knobhead.

...that suggests Pennant is his mate. Oh dear.

If these Kenwyne Jones rumours are true then it's an incredibly underwhelming replacement for Jelavic. Surely we should be looking, and are in a position to attract a higher calibre of player than him? However I was also very underwhelmed by Gareth Barry signing and I am still currently eating humble pie over him. In Roberto we trust I guess..

Yeah. I'll be honest, I don't really believe the rumors. But he's really not that bad and would fit in well in our formation on a limited basis.

I really don't understand the fume / meltdown with some fans. You have two options.

1. Turn yourself into a nervous wreck by biting your nails and refreshing your footy websites every minute, the deals will still go through / not happen.

2. Go about your daily life checking in every now and then, the deals will still go through / not happen.

Both options will end with the same result albeit one will make you angry. I just don't get it.
