I think Lallana is overrated . Reminds me of Osman when he was younger before he developed the ability to play as a deep lying player. Lallana doesn't have the pace to be a top player so is ineffective from the wing. He has to play number ten and in my opinion is not better than Barkley is even now and not better than Pienaar. He'd cost a premium as well . Just not worth it in my opinion. Decent enough player for Southampton but like a lot of their players vastly overrated . Shaw for example is not in the same league as Baines. I applaud Southampton for using the academy, I really like their team, but if they were all starlets and Pochettino was a genius they'd be higher in the league but they're not . Barkley and McCarthy are a league above any of their prospects.

a couple of weeks ago roberto said that Jelavic and jonny can only leave when we have replacements lined up. i cant really see him going back on this.

It's Thursday, so pretty unlikely. A new striker by the Derby is a target that should easily be met though. If that isn't sorted by then we can forget about this window completely, IMO.

Here's a radical idea, how about get somebody in early to bed in with his team mates and be ready for the upcoming CL spot surge.
