And Fernando's - do other clubs obtain work permits for players who have no intention of joining them?

By all accounts we got a work permit for Fernando on the strength we had agreed a fee with Porto, then we sold Felli for what we did and Porto moved the goal posts and asked for more and we couldn't get a deal agreed and went for Barry as a plan B apparently.

I got told Fernando and McCarthy were our main midfield targets in the summer.

If there is any truth in this Traore rumour I can still see Martinez bringing in a permenant signing in midfield ... Fernando or defour .. I know Fernando reportedly is signing for Milan but nothing would surprise me know with Martinez also think we might bring in ince before window shuts

Im pretty certain the Milan president, Gallianni is it, said they wasn't making any moves for Fernando this month so who knows?. Apparently Martinez is a big fan of Fernando aswell. And im sure ive read that Defour could be available for as little as £4m this month!.

Now at £4m, even he'd be a good midfield signing for the squad!.
