I'd be frightened

“I’ve got plenty of money, don’t worry. It’s not about the finances,” said Martinez http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...artinez-We-want-to-keep-Rom-as-long-as-we-can

Been saying this earlier.

If the right player was available now we'd be in for them.

Its balancing spending money now on players he may not be 100% on or having the money for the summer when those players he wants are available.

We've got to strengthen now yes.

But do it the smart way. Thinking too about the summer. If we're in the CL...

Imagine the players we can get then - no question.

Where do we reckon Celtic would finish in the Prem? Porto? PSG? Shahktar? Ajak? Not even tryin to popcorn at all. None of them finish top four IMO..Celtic would be in a relegation battle with their current squad.

Celtic would push top 4, almost as soon as they got here.

With Celtics current squad they would finish mid to lower table, not fighting relegation. Give them 2/3 years and they will most certainly be fighting for the top 4. A few years after that the Championship. Scotland is holding Celtics potential back so much right now it's depressing.

60k home fans, half od scotland, most of Ireland and well over a million fans in England. The money they would get, is man United / RS level. Then add the extra £100 Million a year from sky.

If they knew the start of NEXT season they would be in the Prem, they would already be spending this money in preparation.

I never want them and Rangers in this league.

Scotland allegedly does not want to be associated with England and Wales.

Why should they then allow their teams into our leagues?

Serious question

Combine that with a high profile in the USA mate for Celtic of all teams that would be an absolute goldmine due to the Irish American connections, and how long before they have US owners, I'd say very very fast

If Scotland gain independence, they shouldn't, really. I'm English so I don't really know how Scottish people feel about that, I'd say its about 50/50. Which is probably the same figure of Celtic fans wanting to get into the PL.

Don't think it would ever happen anyway. But from a personal point of view I think it would be great. Believe me when I say this, the location of where Celtic play their football right now is quite literally the shackles holding them back from becoming a powerhouse in world football.

I think your premise is wrong to start with, having a referendum is not the same as wanting nothing to do with them

As for your second point, they shouldn't join the English or Welsh leagues. They are a scottish team, they should play in Scotland. If they were to apply it would be for purely financial reasons. Not a good enough reason to join

If they want in they can start off in the Blue Square prem or whatever it is

There's plenty of Championship teams who deserve Prem statues over those two piles of turd

It has not been that great a week to be an Evertonian has it?

In context that is.

One in, one out, rumour of 2 contract extensions.

They would lose their guaranteed champions league income and throw in the fact they would start down in the conference or league two. Its not going to happen.

I think the realistic compromise, would be for Celtic to pay their way into the Championsip, or the Prem.
