Anyway, what colour top will the delightful Natalie Saywer be wearing this evening??
I'm calling blue, a light blue.
Yes because a profit automatically means we should have loads to spend. Where did you get your economics degree?
The profit means there is no loss to cover, it is the extra 90 million pounds in revenue that we will be receiving over the next 2 and a half years that indicates we should have some money to spend.
But that won't stop people trying their hardest to come up with an excuse, any excuse.
I cant get the Gibson thing squared off though mate. He said it repeatedly: he wanted that position reinforced. He had a lot of time to identify realistic targets and get that done. If he does it later with a loan deal, fair enough. But if this window slams shut without the CM strengthened in Gibson's absence I wont buy for a second he changed his mind on that. It was top priority along with a striker and it makes no sense he'd have left it exposed if he had money...none whatsoever.
A million or 2 more than say the 10-15 the quality players we want would likely cost? What fantasy land are you living in? If you have unrealistic expectations then you're likely to get shafted.

Injury to Barry and we'd have problems, yes.
We don't need 10-15m players.
If it takes spending 20m instead of 15m on two players and doing it now and thus giving us a great chance to make the CL, it's got to be done. Not that it will. But let's watch us crumble when all of our on loan players do one leaving us with Kone and Osman slotting back into the starting XI.
I think we see the ramifications already when we look to Osman to come in for Barkley and Mirallas to move inside. We needed a different type of CM than we have, not just another holding one. Ironically, someone like Fer would have been ideal, imo.
who is this young lad then?

Everton have done a "one for the future" deal for Sparta Prague's teenage goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek. The 17-year-old will sign for a nominal fee."
