The profit means there is no loss to cover, it is the extra 90 million pounds in revenue that we will be receiving over the next 2 and a half years that indicates we should have some money to spend. Oh, and the massive player trading surplus.

But that won't stop people trying their hardest to come up with an excuse, any excuse.

But, look at our cash flow. We have no money, we rely on player trading to make up the loses.

Lots of people on here are going to look like idiots in the summer when this war chest that were saving magically dissappears and were selling to buy again.

We don't need 10-15m players.

If it takes spending 20m instead of 15m on two players and doing it now and thus giving us a great chance to make the CL, it's got to be done. Not that it will. But let's watch us crumble when all of our on loan players do one leaving us with Kone and Osman slotting back into the starting XI.
 
Guys the problem with Heitinga is, he has wage of 60k. We can only raise our wages by 4 million in comparision with the last season. I believe we are quite a close to that number, with all these new players and new deals even Moyes, Neville and Fellaini are out. So this is why I think they are saying Heitinga needs to go first, then we can sign somebody.

I think we see the ramifications already when we look to Osman to come in for Barkley and Mirallas to move inside. We needed a different type of CM than we have, not just another holding one. Ironically, someone like Fer would have been ideal, imo.

Kone and Osman as first choice would be hard to take now, but these days, £15m or £20m will get you the exact same player. We'd all like £35-40m players, but let's be realistic for a while.

Who is available for that price, literally today, in the positions we need? Genuine question.
