Silva must go

Hang on a minute, Koeman took a side that had finished 11th twice on the bounce and finished 7th and got European football for us.

But he was gash and Allardyce was a success?

Started drinking early today pal?

OK, if a tad harsh on Konman's 1st two league finishes, remember that spending spree, where we were in the league and the legacy of the 'sigs' era. It's not really not very good.

Compared to Moyes legacy of a defence and work ethic that nearly made us CL under Martinez whom I did credit with bringing in Rom who got us close.

Night and day, mate. This club is spending heavy and going down the table. That tells you the core is wrong.

Silva doesn't really need to turn anything around. A transfer window or two and return of Gomez and Gbamin from injury.
Gomes, you mean the fella who at Villa was passing it out for throw ins to the home side? Of course he needs to turn it around, we came 8th last season, which wasnt good enough, this season we dont even look like doing that

Are you really condensing Gomes whole career on 90minutes away to Villa?

Thats a pretty scolding hot take.

Honestly, people who dont think Gomes and Gmblammo can improve the team havent really paid attention.

Gomes is a wonderful footballer, sure hes not top tier, but he would grace most midfields in the league, if not Europe.

How will Gomes and Gbamin solve us having the worst set piece defensive record in the league and our inability to score goals / constant tactic of crossing into the box?

Put it this way, when Man City conceded three goals against Norwich, Pep simply got his side to score more goals in abundance. Clean sheet easily achieved without playing a defensive formation or tinkering with defence in the next two games.

Well, both are tall and Gbamin is quite good in the air. Beyond that, both are quite good with the ball and have twice the passing range of the current guys, so it would probably help a bit.
