Whats even funnier then that is we sacked Samuel Allardyce, who im sure on the inside is a nice guy, and this is what we signed up for.
Fat Sam was never sacked for his performance, he was sacked cos hes a horrible, horrible man.
The way he went after the fans indicates that he wanted the sack, he got a little job for 6months and was paid 9m.

What's even funnier is that some people think we're actually going to go on and win things under his leadership. I'd be happy to win the derby at the minute and I'm one of the old school who thinks this great club should be challenging for trophies every year
Im a realist that appreciates that we arent in a position currently to be challenging for trophies every year.
That doesnt mean im happy to finish 7th every season, nor does it mean I accept our current position.
But its going to take time to get back to the top, lots and lots of time.
Is Silva the man to take us there? Well its not looking likely is it.

No, but getting shut of Sam just to bring in Silva was crazy, i said this at the time, and i was correct. Neither should of ever of been looked at
Paying off several managers at once, we had to go for a manger who at least gave us some indication he could be a long term project, we didnt, we went for one who in his last three jobs hadn't even lasted a year, who in his previous jobs had not only been poor but had won 8 games at each of them, it was the stupidest call possible.
Give up now and save yourself the time and anguish.

I have already had the enthusiasm sucked out if me for this season and am resigned to the fact that bar a total collapse into the drop zone Silva will be here, treading water, until the end of the season, probably until about this time next year.
And I cannot even see us taking a point on Saturday.

I think Silva was in mind for the long term project, He was young and doing decent bits at Watford nothing mesmerizing but I certainly notiched his Watford team, The question is who would have been the right man? Any manager we choose is gonna be a gamble no one will guarantee us success or turn us into a top 6 team overnight, Silva wasn't my #1 choice but he definitely had some positives tbh.
Console yourself that if he falls below the 8th place finish from last season he will 100% be sacked.

Inevitable. It’s also inevitable we will have a purple patch at some point which will give us a mid table finish. We’ll have a summer of expectation and then be absolute dross again and yet another season will be written off. Rinse and repeat till we finally go out and get a decent manager.
At some point tho and im not saying it should be Silva, but at some point we surely have to give a manager time?
All the best managers in this league were given time.
I mean if Silva keeps losing games he will be punted and rightly so, but we as a fanbase need some god damn patience.
Again im not saying 3 defeats on the bounce isnt enough to be questioning this fella, but some people wanted him sacked from day 2.
