I buy the same paper every day so you get to know the way the crossword compiler thinks ,so I finish most of them eventually.
Get a different paper and that’s a whole new ballgame.
I still get a smug little grin of self satisfaction when I finish a cryptic crossword and I toss the pen down nonchantly as a sign of victory and my superiority
