Right lads, am going to put a firm stance on whether members of this site are pro kirkby or anti kirkby. It wouldn't be right for me to assume you all think the same as me so i'd appreciate it if you all voted.

If your unsure, please don't vote or research more into it.

I think another site must be found, I dont even live in England but I think the club must stay in the city if they want future supporters from that area.

Im annoyed, 2 reasons, we shouldnt move to kirby! keep it in the city.
Also i dont want a stadium like boltons, filled with shops around it, convenient yes but it wasnt good, we need a stadium like goodison park, a stadium that is just on its own, and not a shitty modern stadium like wigan or bolton, we should have a stadium like dortmunds or summit, which is modern but looks great.

thats my opinion...

@ Dom an Nan.

You both realise the site in Kirkby is less than 3 miles away from Goodison Park? I have actually walked home from the match.

I think saying we shouldn't move to Kirkby because we wouldn't retain fans in the area is over the top.... just a bit.

And Dom, you'd be happy in Goodison in 10 years when Liverpools stadium will literally put our ground in the shadows?

no, i wasnt to move stadium, i just dont want to move into a modern one like bolton or wigan have, there stadiums arent good! i also dont want al the shops around it, it ruins the atmosphere before the game, makes everything more busy, and doesnt make the prestige of the club look good.

By all means move, just move to a stadium thats built like the classics, like stamford brige, olf trafford, white hart lane etc...

You voted to stay at Goodison Park though?

And Nam, Dont let the whole "out of the City" thing fool you, as it does many fans not from Liverpool. As I put on Kipper;

- When Everton first played on Stanley Park it was outside the city boundary.
- When Everton first played at Priory Road it was outside the city boundary.
- When Everton first played at Anfield it was outside the city boundary.
- When Everton first played at Goodison Park it was outside the city boundary.
- When Everton play in Kirkby it will be outside the city boundary.

Knowsley is an artificial council rimming Liverpool and should be incorporated into Liverpool. This came about as Liverpool Council refused to incorporate Kirkby and Halewood in the city as the Boundaries Commission suggested. Kirkby is in all intents a part of Liverpool, as is Bootle, Birkenhead, Wallasey, etc. There is talk of extending Liverpool to incorporate Knowsley and parts of Sefton.

The city always followed Everton.

The protracted stadium move over now 10 years has eaten at the club - this results from poor club management. From the biggest in the UK to second tier. There are no Arabs waiting with pot of gold ready to save us - Everton have a poor image.

Roll on Kirkby. The sooner we move in the better.

Below. Everton at Anfield. The city boundary runs through the current Kop.:

The whole 'out of the city' thing is bollocks.

Danny and I are from Kirkby and prior to this whole thing we were part of Liverpool. Its an argument of convenience.

My address ends with Kirkby, Liverpool. Type L33 into a postcode searcher and see what it comes up with. It certainly doesnt say Kirkby, Knowsley.

Exactly chico. Before this stadium debate I thought Kirkby was Liverpool.

I put rubbish in a bin today in Kirkby, it had "City if Liverpool" on. Then I got home and on a letter addressed to me had Kirkby, Liverpool on.

Yep, until this whole stadium business came up I was certain Kirkby was in Liverpool. It's just a small technicality yet some people would rather disregard the future and stay put. Crazy really.

I can understand some of the arguments, but the thing about moving out of the city is just ridiculous.
