Very sad.That's some severe turbulence:
Singapore Airlines: Passengers recall horror onboard flight
One passenger said he heard a woman "screaming in agony" and saw another with a "gash on her head".www.bbc.co.uk
Going to be interesting to hear what's happened here.
Great airline SA, best I've flown with. Obviously neither airline nor plane or pilot at error for what happened. Just keep your seatbelt on.
Imagine being in the crapper probs end up with a sore head and coverd in pooYes, keep your seat belt on... just so long as you are sat down. But, there are good reasons why you are not sat down.
The injured passengers could have been in the crapper when turbulence hit? Or queuing for the crapper? Or waiting for the trolleys to pass before leaving their seats... Or simply just stretching their legs. All more likely on a long haul flight which London to Singapore is.
I had a pee once during turbulence. Not pleasant. When you think about it why don’t that fit seatbelts to the bog? Better safe than sorryImagine being in the crapper probs end up with a sore head and coverd in poo

Nods to the frog lobby, but apparently it's all climate change drivenDeffo chem trails related this.
The great unwashed can barely keep on their shoes onboard an aircraft, never mind a seatbelt'Clear air' turbulence - the plane drops - you effectively stay where you are - and hit the ceiling with a wallop
Keep your seatbelt on?
While it wasn't this severe, I flew into Vienna once through some major turbulence, and it was pretty nauseating and very, very unsettling.
On our final descent, I remember at one point looking out the window (obviously sideways looking) and saw the runway running almost perpendicular to the plane.
"Shouldn't that be in front of us?" went through my mind, I'm not ashamed to say I did a few Hail Marys at that point.
I worked there at British Aerospace for a couple of years!! It's amazing the sheer scale of the wings as they're being built in the factory. Then you see the size of the plane they send them on to attach to the main body of the plane down in France....amazing.Had a terrible experience coming back from Mexico a couple of days after Katrina hit New Orleans...affected me ever since.
My old man worked at British aerospace for years building wings for jumbo's and even his reassurances haven't worked.
