I've tried that a few times but to me at least it just tastes too vinegary, no matter how much water you add.

Only had Glenfarclas 105, which is bloody fantastic. Never tried anything from Craigellachie.Craigellachie 13 or Glenfarclas 12...if you've had both, what's your preference and if you've had one but not the other, just give me your thoughts. I've had all the major variants/regions and can get down with most, if not all, so just looking to blind buy (like ya' do) and it's down to two.
I've had lots of visitors the last few months, with the result that my Whisky Cabinets have diminished somewhat so did a quick stock take last night :Highland Park 12 yr; and 25 year (1988 distilled); Glen Moray; Lagavulin 14; Glenlivet 18; Inchgower 14; Scapa 16; The Macallan Gold; Glen Grant 10; Penderyn; "Speyside single malt 15"; a couple of decent blends , Chivas Regal 12 and Johnnie Walker "The Spice Road " plus a number of other blends . I have a gap for a Highland Park 18 but usually I take whatever comes along (presents etc)unless I see something specific that catches my eye .
Then this morning in the post from my brother came a Craigellachie 13 year old , 1 litre bottle he'd picked up on his travels. I've passed their distillery many times , it has a large Dewars & Sons on it so I assumed it's output was largely into blended whisky, and I've never seen a bottle out there. Anyway its one for the weekend and I'll report back.
I had the Craigellachie 13 , turns out it was back in 2015 ......but I don’t think I ever posted about it afterwards. As above , it was a 1 litre bottle and for my taste was a typical Speyside malt , light, fruity and smooth . Worth trying but not one I’ve gone back and bought again.Craigellachie 13 or Glenfarclas 12...if you've had both, what's your preference and if you've had one but not the other, just give me your thoughts. Sorry that's not particularly helpful.
Glenfarclas 15 is even better than the 105Cheers lads, any info is good info when you're blind buying. Probably gonna go with the Glenfarclas for now, I just have to make a point of picking up the bottle and not getting distracted...*eyeballs Bruichladdich Islay Barley*

Comes in strong at the 61% so it benefited from a few drops of water in my opinion.
Definitely in my all time top 5 that.Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask for me tonight. Birthday present from my mother in law. Sweet and spicy. Nice long finish as well.
