Crazy how much prices have gone up over here. I recall the days you could get Macallan 18 for under $100.Now run by Laphroaig's former DM of 28 years, John Campbell...first release. Don't know if I dare open. 700ml, so a true import.
Springbank stock at my local and to show you approx what we're getting & paying over here...this place is trouble. Almost went for the Campbeltown Loch, out of curiosity.

Haven't been in the Scotch game too long but I've seen the jump just over the last 3/4 years alone.
I got into scotch quite a bit when I was in my mid-20s as I had an older and very hip girlfriend at the time and I was trying to impress her and her friends. Then it sort of stuck. In the last 4 or 5 years or so, I have pretty much stopped drinking liquor, especially scotch and whiskey (though I'll still do a gin and tonic or bloody mary on occasion), so these bottles have been sitting idle for a long while. I also have some Yamazaki (very good and underrated), Bunnahabhain, and Laphroaig 18.
My favorites remain Talisker and Highland Park, but I also like a good sherry-cask highland variety.
