Mirallas isn't playing though. I agree landon wouldn't get into our first choice team but given how rarely we play that first choice team, he would still make us better.

Donovan would be a fantastic addition to the squad. He may not get in to our starting XI when everyone is fit but I'd imagine he'd be the first choice off the bench.

Having Donovan back would really help us out, we can't afford to buy a winger as good as him (as well as having the possibility of that winger not doing well) and so he's perfect at this time.

I'm totally convinced we could at least get three more top years out of Landon. Would be more than made up if he signs for us. Is he really a lesser player than Mirallas? Not even convinced about that. Doesn't matter also, we need a squad to compete not a first eleven. On top of that Landon is very versatile and would get more than enough chances to prove his worth to us once again.

The rumors I've heard are of lamps joining LA after this season with Chelsea. So it is unlikely to have any affect on any potential move of Donovan, especially during this window.
