Sir Landon Of Donovan

Back on topic, I don't see how getting two, maybe three years of boss wing play is not a good thing.

Gets on my tits.

Our biggest problem is squad depth, it's like people want us to be signing these boss players to replace members of our starting eleven when what we really need is players of equal quality as backup. Donovan fits that description perfectly.

I would accept an argument that his wages would be too steep or that his fee would be too high (though I've not seen enough evidence to convince me that he's not a financially viable option).

If we get him back, play him in his PROPER position, not out wide. The games where Donovan played behind Keane for LA last season was fantastic. So dangerous because of his agility, brain and quality on the ball.

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

He potentially solves so many problems for us.

Mirallas out injured - Play Donovan RW
Gibson injured - Drop Fellaini back, play Donovan AcM
Pienaar injured - Landon's your man.
Jelavic injured/Vic not fit - Donovan can play up top.

IMO and most stateside Landon Donovan has done everything for MLS and LA and you would think is in a possistion to have the right to choose whatever he wants to do. At his age I'd be amazed if they wouldn't do the decent thing and let him have his PL dream (if of course he wants one).

From a EFC point of view, entering the last year of his contract 3M you would think would seal the deal and I can't think of a better player for us at that kind of money!

Taylor Hawkins overdose - Put Dave Grohl on Drums & Donovan on Lead Guitar
Cameron KIA during Afghan visit - Put Hague in charge & Donovan in the Foreign Office
Pope dies - Make Donovan super sub & drop him in as a Cardinal

Any more?

Just my opinion. I thought he lacked the cutting edge he had in his first spell.
I think he has evolved into a different player between spells. Going from what the American lads have been saying, he maybe has lost a bit of pace but has become less reliant on it. He has developed a bit more of a brain.
