Thread Police Officer Chris reporting, we have serious situation going down in the Donovan thread, requesting immediate assistance.

Lethal force is advised. Over.

FFS, the thread police will be right on this.

I say sign him up, after his hippy trip he seems back in love with the game.

HQ: Chris, do you have the target in sight?

Chris: 'Sir, requesting permission to fire (cocks rifle)

HQ: Disengage Chris, that's an order!

Chris: With all due respect sir that's a bullsh*t order, we can end this now.

HQ: If we start firing on civilians then it's my @ss on the line, I repeat disengage!

(Chris throws away his rifle and cries in frustration)

He would improve us.

He's still as good as when he was here

He's cheap, even free

Anyone who wouldn't want him is clearly bonkers!

Long live landy cakes!!

Two Goals and an assist tonight in the Semi of the Gold Cup.

He can come in and be a great squad player. It needs to happen. Free this winter!!!

yup, just to add my agreement, If Everton want a Cahill type favourite in his prime, It's definitely Donovan. He was a class apart tonight and he loves Everton. In all my time following Everton, I don't remember a no brainer like this.

You say the Gold Cup like its something to be proud of.

Honduras are ranked below Wales, Cape Verde Islands and on a par with Scotland.

But if he wanted to come for free, I wouldnt have a problem, just think that maybe a touch of realism is needed.

You just compared him to Cahill.

I was sick in my mouth.

Out of curiosity, will there be a formal ceremony or commemorative cup commissioned when this thread is finally laid to rest?

I'd like to pay my respects & have a memento of the occasion...
