If he'd stayed permanently after the first loan spell, I really think he could have taken flight.

It's a shame, but water under the bridge. And I'm a USA fan.

You would have to say fair play - for the dignified statement he released on not getting picked, class.

You have to feel sorry for him prob the biggest ambasseder for the US game of all time and to be treated like this. His 4th world Cup as well and in Brazil - have to feel for him.

Just when you try and jurtify it in someway - Altidore FFS.

Altidore has no touch. Whatsoever

He's had a weird year, as if his head wasn't right. Up until the last couple of months he hadn't posted on Twitter at all for a long time, something he used to do regularly. That and the fact he's put weight on would suggest he was struggling with something.

Donovan's whole "hiatus" from the team is the reason why he's gone. The team has found plenty of leadership in Deuce and Bradley, especially Bradley.

Donovan would have been included in the 'forward' category, so it would be safe to assume that Wondolowski took his spot. Wondo is one of the guys that stepped up big time in Donovan's absence. 9 goals in his last 10 appearances. Doesn't matter if they're against mickey mouse countries, he's in better form than some of the other striking potions.

LandyCakes with two goals tonight. He was boss all 90 minutes.

To be honest though, his effort tonight probably cleared up any and all reasons in why Klinnsi left him off the U.S. squad. Looks like he only gives full effort when he has a chip on his shoulder.
