My contacts at the club told me that the info that's been leaked is a bit mischievous and more than a little misleading.

While it's true that McCartney has agreed to play at Goodison on the final matchday, he'll be playing in the Crossbar Challenge rather than performing musically.

Given how his vocals have degraded, this is probably no bad thing.
