"sixth, seventh or eighth the best Everton can do"

Bale has scored 6 of Spurs' last 7 league goals. That's three winning goals and one equaliser, earning his team an extra 7 points. Without him in their side we could be just 2 points behind them.

Cazorla hasn't had quite the same impact at Arsenal but he has been the difference in matches against Villa and Sunderland, earning an extra 4 points for his team.

We could do with somebody to step to the fore ourselves. If I was the manager I might drop Fellaini back alongside Gibson to shore things up now that he's not as effective as an attacking force and give Mirallas freedom in the hole to find us some goals.
Added to the fact these teams can rotate a little better than we can and by most accounts we have been a little unfortunate, I'd say things are as they should be. We also are yet to play these teams and could conceivably reign them in a bit.

True this. 2 almost dead cert relegations avoided on the last day. There can be no worse feeling in football in bricking it for the last few weeks of the season while facing likely relegation. Something many of our younger readers have yet to experience and as a result think that finishing 7th with no money is unacceptable.

And people who were around in the 80s....? Is that it now? 15 bad years and we should be eternally grateful to grind out 1-0 wins and hope we will finish above Liverpool, 'hope we can maybe' give the fans a 'day out' at wembley (just wait for this gem before the wigan game if we win tonight) with no talk of actually winning?

Good post we have no match winners in form right now, even the rs have ratface who is form for them which had led them to catching up with us.

5th or 6th plus win the FA cup. If we go out of the cup to-night i can see us finishing 8th with luck.

I am, which is why I don't get offended when no one takes me seriously.

you spit in the face of those who don't want to be cool. My mate had a Carlito T-Shirt with the slogan saying "do you spit or swallow". My other non-wrestling mates thought it was the gayest thing ever. Carlito was around whilst i stopped watching so i knew what the T-Shirt meant, but there are surely better ideas than a guy wearing a T-Shirt with such a slogan

Yeah, that wasn't his best t-shirt. I liked the one which had a smirking apple with an afro on the the front. I could still get one and say it's a Fellaini t-shirt.

Anyone have this thought: When Everton wins the FA Cup. Moyes and Fellaini and Baines will all commit to be back. ...and this is all moot.
In the thread about seeing us win things someone mentions '95 and how they thought we'd kick on after the win (spoiler alert: we did not). Portsmouth & Birmingham hardly became CL contenders from their Cup wins. Some of us may prefer a Cup to fourth place but for players (and probably Moyes) it would be a really nice memory for them as they move to a CL team. Baines might stay though cuz he's the bestest.

I don't think anyone of note is going to sign with us (or stay with us) because we won a Cup the year prior. It raises our profile a little and maybe it improves the mindset of the squad but for attracting or retaining players it's no CL. Don't get me wrong ... would be awesome ... but for this specific issue I don't think it changes much. Hopefully we get to find out (and hopefully I'm wrong).

I don't know the context of the shirt but why is that inherently gay? Couldn't you be asking that question of a lady?
