here's my two pence:

Osman shows some nice skills, and in some games he has been positively influential...but:

- his shots are often (but not always) too soft
- he can disappear in important matches
- his Zweikampfstärke isn't that great (sorry, don't think we have a word in english for that)


Overall, a brilliant lad, and a very good squad player who when on form is a definite starter...but not consistently influential enough. Pienaar is a similar player and has been more useful generally, especially as he also offers dynamic tracking-back to his game.

Nah mate we signed Riquelme i saw it on the OS.

And i'm sure someone (maybe a former or current player) sais that Osman was the best player in 5 a side at the club.

he's a good player but far too inconsistent which is why he's not an international in my opinion because on his day he is class.
 
I like him a lot. I think that he can play Gibson or Cahill's role better than he plays his current role. When he charges up the field it makes me realize that he's really quite a player at times.
 

I was walking out of Wembley way behind 2 red****e fans, one of them said that Osman is fast as ****. FFS.

But I love Leon, behind the striker I think is his best position. Final third he can float past players, create space and is technically very good.
 
Osman is much better against weaker competition, where his skill can shine. But against top sides, he can be overwhelmed by superior athletes.
 
feckin hell, mis-read the title. Thought it was about osama and his skillful hiding from the yanks. Ffs.
 

He's one of my favorite players right now. He has taken over matches when played in the right position. Sadly he's always played out of position.

Always wondered why a mid table team like Fulham, Sunderland, Villa etc never bid on him (granted doubt Moyes would ever sell). You can run a potent attack with him playing behind the forwards. He could have just as good if not better than Adam was last year for Blackpool.
