haha still waititng to hear back from all the other fellas you know

what could a guy do with my viewing card number?

All the other fellas? You mean the tassimo guy that you ignored me about? Or the Playstation that I tried to fix? OK, sorry for actually trying to help mate.

The viewing card number brings up your account without the need for any other details, but lets swerve it eh mate, cos I'm clearly talking bollocks according to you.

see i know if i ring sky they will just try and give me the run around about the money as the bill is due, depsite the money being taken early.

Hell even double checked the bill and its there is big black letters 3 september

They'll use the Bank Holiday as the excuse I imagine. But a bank will just say they can't doing anything (quickly anyway) and to contact Sky to get a refund.

Your best bet is to get fuming with Sky, say you're going to leave and stuff. They basically crap themselves whenever anyone says this and offer all sorts of stuff.

great advice so far guys.

Seriously though, we cancelled the direct debit yesterday and they have still taken the money before they were meant to. Is it worth even ringing sky up or would that be a waste of time?

Can the bank refund the money through what @Sapie88 said without question?

Phone the bank quote the following:

The Direct Debit Guarantee protects customers in three ways:

  1. Notifications - customers must be notified in advance of each payment. Failure to follow notification requirements may result in a merchant being barred from the scheme. This is typically 10 working days before a payment is taken but a shorter notice period can be agreed.
  2. Refunds - customers are entitled to a full and immediate refund of any payment that has been taken in error.
  3. Cancellations - customers can cancel a Direct Debit mandate at any time by contacting their bank.

What issues mate ? You seem to be asking a lot of questions here but not helping us help you by filling in the blanks.
well, by paying for travel, food, utility, child, school, etc

on the back of work not paying me hardly any wages so bar having enough for rent and a bit of food and whatnot, cant do much til i get the rest of it

Absolutely right. This is the way to go, @Ashtonian.

I'm not sure what you've got against Ashtonian like, and obviously he's free to follow your advice, but using clause 2 sets a LOT of alarm bells ringing and they'll probably blacklist him across the banking fraternity, barring him from using DD's again, and reducing his credit rating.

Just tell Sky to gtf then mate, they don't deserve your custom, and tell them to remind Rupert that we're all in this together.

This is karma after you fleeced those fellas on Facebook pretending you were a single woman.

If you need cash fast you could always go try that con again, otherwise my only advice is to stop living beyond your means.

Having satellite TV isn't a basic human right and you should prioritise your expenditures appropriately, especially if you've got kids to feed and dress.

Why is that?
