soft spots?

I kind of like to see Wigan do well.
Over here I decided to support Aalborg but have yet to see them play. They a play in red (stripes) unfortunately, wich did initially put me off. But they're about the nearest team to me, and I like to support a local team.

Obviously Fortuna Sittard, as they are my home town club and I've followed them all my life. Go to almost every home and away game with them. Not an easy task, as the Dutch 2nd division club always play on Friday night.

Other teams I do watch out for results and have a 'soft spot' for are:

England: Sheffield United, Carlisle United, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion.

Holland: PSV Eindhoven, Sparta and FC Twente.

Scotland: Celtic

Spain: Barcelona

Italy: Milan and Fiorentina

Belgium: KRC Genk and FC Antwerp

Germany: Borussia Dortmund, FC Köln, Werder Bremen and RW Essen.

Mind you I'm only really interested in and supporting Everton and Fortuna Sittard.

Been looking out for the Fiorentina results since I was about 14-15 years. Was a lad in my class with an Italian dad, Both were fanatical Fiorentina supporters. Gone over to their house, to watch Fiorentina games on a few occasions. Always retained a soft spot for them, but as said I don't support them. It's only Everton and Fortuna Sittard that really matter to me.(y)

:D I dont hold a grudge, its the Italian authorities that my grudge is with for ruining my trip.

Since our Uefa Cup games I always see how the teams got on, just to justify our results, i look for teams such as Villarreal, Fiorentina, Zenit, Nurnberg and will probably keep an eye on Liege now too.

Phew, lucky me.

What happened with the Fiorentina game?

Oh went to watch Perth Glory when I was in Australia a few years ago. Very laid back way of watching football sat on a wooden bench with a cold lager. The beer was sound but the quality of football was garbage. Enjoyed it tho so thats the main point. There was about 10,000 there and the won 2-1 against some team from Sydney. Watched Roger Waters doing Dark Side Of The Moon at the same venue last year. The 5th gig of a world tour. Brilliant.

what didn't happen...I didnt have a ticket (yes my fault but I did not expect to be treated like a god damn goat). So a number of us were herded into a car park of the local sports centre approximately 5pm where we were promised we could watch the game inside, once in the car park, we werent allowed out, and if we did leave, we werent allowed back in. So there we waited until an hour before kick off 8pm...3 hours sat in a car park! Not only that we were locked in the sports centre for the best part of an hour afterwards.(n)(n)(n)

Oh ye and inside the big screen didnt actually work properly for the 1st 20 minutes (n)(n)(n)

Oh ye, and no beer (n)(n)(n)

Is that them in your avatar Bill ?

Yes sir !!

Team pic before last year's MLS Cup rematch against the New England Revolution at RFK Stadium.

We won 2-1 to retain the Cup and the championship.

We've got a good team, we really do.

Great supporters too.

Standard Liege.

I like Walsall for some reason. Obviously Real Madrid aswell and Porto.
