Some of our proudest records could all go this season

So the potential is there that we could lose our record of being an ever present in the Premier league.

We could lose our 70+ year consecutive top flight status.

If we take a while to get promoted again our record of team who has played the most top flight seasons in England could come under threat.

If City win the league they will go joint on 9 league titles with us as the 4th most successful domestic team In English history.

And to cap it all off Haaland could potentially break Dixie Dean's unbreakable goalscoring record.

Good. Records are pointless when we are a non-entity now. especially these records. Like the kid at school who got an award for 100% attendance. Nobody cares.

Need to stop living in the past and maybe this will be the catalyst for finally waking the club up.

I despair so much when I see our fans arguing with other teams like “we’re a much bigger club than Villa, West Ham etc”.

It’s like 2 bald fellas arguing over a comb because they both had hair 40 years ago.

According to some on here they see us as a more succesful club than Chelsea because we have won more leagues than them.

I can't wait to recelebrate the League win of 1917 again.

HUZZAH UP THE TOFFEE MEN!!

Would you say there’s certain sections of our fanbase who are more bothered about the history than the present day, and as such have allowed the club to be ran into the ground?

We’ll probably be relegated, but at least we can hark back to the 80’s hahaha!

Would relegation he such a terrible thing if it caused a brutal civil war in our fanbase to come to fruition and drove the dars, that drag us down with their NSNO delusion and haranguing of young players, finally broke away from Everton to be respectful Grandads and walk along canals wearing chinos on the weekends, leaving the young realist blues to carry the club on?
Well, if the young realists have been carrying the club they done a piss poor job.

I remember sitting in a pub after we got beat in another Derby game and this young lad being upset about losing to them.

His dad started to reel out that Goodison was the first ground to have undersoil heating, Floodlights and wait for it...... the first ground to have escalators in.

I'm sure that eased the lads pain in the playground when he retold that story to his kopite mates.

Really makes you proud to be a Blue.

“Senior club in the city lad. 1=20”.

Everton das are just a poor man's bill kenwright. If we ever move to the new stadium, they should neglect to tell the park enders. Just let them sit in an empty stadium and moan about how things used to be. They probably wouldn't even notice there isn't a match being played.

It going to get bad, real bad.

I'm not really arsed about any of them apart from not getting relegated. Football is the most uncompetitive sport on tge planet in its current incarnation. Modern day outfits with obscene resources winning pots isn't comparable to previous eras of team building. Everything pep wins is par for the course.
