They don't compare in any way, shape of form to a club like ours.

2 decent seasons in the PL doesn't propel you to anywhere near the status of EFC in the game.

Well tbf, the thread title is kind of inviting their fans to err, give their view.

If Southampton were a character from Game of Thrones, who would they be?

Now the fans have a certain trait of Jaime and Cercei Lannister, but they are feared with a great history these two characters so that rules them out in my book.

The character they would be is Samwell Tarly, everyone laughs at him and bully's him like other teams do to Southampton when they take its players and managers. But, sometimes they get lucky like kill a walker and finish in the top six.

Just like Southampton, Sam's only glory is playing hide the sausage with the wildling munter Gilly which is the equivalent to winning the St Johnstones paint trophy.

I remember a few seasons back I was listening to 606 when Wolves had beaten us 3-1 and because they'd built a new stand they were on saying they were now bigger than Everton. Thats football fans for you. Thick as ....
The only thing I know about Southampton is I used to like that good team they had in the early 80's when Bally played for them. He must have been about 46 at the time but you could see he was quality.
