how will you feel if you have an average season in the cups, play a more direct game (lots of hoofs to the big fella up top) albeit, sound defensively and finish a respectable 7-8th place?

given the money etc that you are about to apparently spend?
Obviously worse than when we have a good season in the cups (that means winning at least one), play a direct game (lots of hoofs to the big fella up top) albeit sound defensively and finish in the top 4!

Christ they're really taking this hard aren't they?

That @RonaldKonman Twitter account reeks of bitterness and desperation.

did you expect any different?
football fans for you

Koeman during his whole time at saints painted a picture that he is a man of honour...of his word etc,
a year ago he said that barcelona would not tempt him away from his contract as he is different from other people in football and utterly respects the commitment he had made

a few weeks ago he stated time and time again that he would be the manager of saints next season as he is a man of his word. An honourable man, one who does not break his deals etc

he warned players time and time again about leaving saints (for anyone) and used Schneiderlin, Lovren, Chmabers as an example of grass not being greener and all that (spin, I know)

he stated many times that the only jobs that would tempt him from NOT renewing his current deal would be the Dutch National Job and Barcelona....only at the end of his deal. This was stated time and time again and pointed others in the game of not being 'honourable' like he is

here we are. Guess after hearing it so much from him, saints fans actually believed him
At least you are seeing it and wont be a surprise to you that if he does well in the next 24 months he would drop you at a moments notice if a better offer comes along

Southampton fans are mirroring their club. Years of absolute nothingness and then they start barking like they think they're big dogs. But a handful of top 7 finishes does not a big club make. Ask Bolton.

Everton have been utter pants for 2 years, no doubt about it. But in every way we are a bigger club and anyone who can't see that is a bad soccer Am scruff. Throw in our squad potential and the promise of serious financial backing -- we are the obvious choice for Koeman.

The venom would be understandable if Southampton weren't the biggest selling club in the league. Their kitchen staff probably get poached (ba dum tiss) by other teams; simply put, they couldn't hold onto a kite on a clear day. So don't get mad at a team who've spent the last 15 years with only two managers, doing all their business in private with no media circus, spending comparatively minimally and frugally to rivals.

We lost our last manager with no compensation. He admitted SAF was talking to him months before without permission. The media was utilised to undermine us. But we didn't moan until he actually took to saying our players had to move for "the good of their careers". If Koeman starts insulting your club then fair enough, but why should a manager who's had to sell so many players not be allowed to move to another club in the same way?

So pipe down you noisy little Jack Russells and appreciate that your boss is moving to a thoroughbred greyhound (albeit one that needs to lose a bit of weight). Enjoy your 2 games in Europe and treasure those memories when you're back in the lower leagues where you belong.

Tbh mate, Loyalty in football is gone, Do you not think we have experienced the exact same thing with Moyes. We also have had players sign long contracts to have heads turned and hand in requests the next day. Football is about the ££££...

The only loyalty comes from the fans which is why it pains me to see animosity over it. It's all a bit of a con really.

He admitted SAF was talking to him months before without permission. The media was utilised to undermine us.

This is simply not true, it´s conspiracy delusion. Moyes NEVER admited it (talking about Man. United job) and you can find totally different story in SAF book / you cann´t find any prove for this untrue information (from solid source). First time I saw this conspiracy delusion in toffeeweb, many evertonnians used it and it´s still believed by many blues, which is sad.
And idea "media try undermine Everton" (all media ? :)) is another conspiracy delusion :) Please, verify information, critical thinking is useful ...
