I do not get this no investment in Everton.

You spent 28 million on Lukaku
10m Funes Mori
13.5 Million on Niasse
Mc Carthy 13 Million

You clearly have had investment, not every Premier League club spends 28 million on a striker

The Rom money was basically the Fellaini money. Until these recent TV money hikes our expenditure was miniscule compared to the teams around us. Ironically we've spent more in the past two seasons only to drop from the top 7 to 11th. But it's just been TV money and player sales. No investment and still not much by Pl standards.

We spent a decade knocking on the door of the top 4 as they splurged big and we used loans, bargain buys and once went 3 windows without making a permanent signing! Blues have been craving genuine investment for a while and hopefully we will now see it.

Huh, so it appears you're essentially gonna be paying Emery's wages for us for the next two years. Thanks.

ok mate, make sure to show your new manager the Johnstones Paint Trophy, that'll seal the deal

I know a club down the M27 that had that same outlook on there football club, but hey ho.

Why did Martinez perform well with the squad in his first season?
Not comparable situations at all, our new owner isn't some clown. For all Kenwrongs faults I don't believe he'd alow some con merchant to take us over and destroy the club. They were spending money they didn't have on short term one season solutions. Our owner is spending money he does have on long-term investments. That's why we won't mind if it takes a few years to make us properly challenged for the top four again because when we do it will be for real and not just some fluke.

He has not taken you over he owns 49% but don't let facts get in the way - Another trait of neighbour of Southampton

Have to say i feel for the Saints fans, its always frustrating when bigger fish come and take a vital gog in the wheel, we're nostrangers to it ourselves over the years, but thems the breaks.

With a historical profile of yoyoing through the divisions, you can see why they are hurt there is always a threat there. Add that to the fact that this is prob there most sustained period of relative success in their history and that a burn, they are one bad decision away from the championship.

Acting as if Koeman or anyone gives a toss that about your dusty trophy cabinet, you had to make him one of the highest paid managers in the world to even consider it. Don't worry, we've already mugged off the other half of Merseyside so you're in good company.

He does however already have an agreement in place which allows him to purchase the rest of the board's shares at any time, which would take him to 76%. The clause also works the other way, in that whenever they wish the rest of the board can require him to purchase their shares.

His purchase of that 26% is contingent upon certain conditions - most likely the rest of the board being satisfied with his handling of the club and taking it forwards.

He'll be majority owner by the end of the year.

In fact, if you want to get super technical, he's effectively already majority shareholder, as many small (often single) shareholdings in the club have been lost track of over the years.

Maybe you should have checked yours mate. Seeing as he has a pre-agreed deal in place to take the rest of the current incumbents equity, which will mean he owns 75% of the club.

He's also by far the largest shareholder, and therefore controls the club now anyway, as over 20% of the shares are owned by fans in ones and twos, so he could never be out voted on anything in essence.

Haha.

Southampton are about as pointless as nipples on men.

You are a small club, we are massive. That's about the top and bottom of it, so stop getting yourself so wound up.

Warning.

We the moderation team would appreciate it if you toned down the aggression please, one more outburst and we will have no option but to suspend your account for 7 days.

Thank you.
