Fuming at the lack of ambition of this forum.

I'm not sure there is a lack of ambition on this forum; in fact I would say the ambition on the forum outstrips the ambition shown by the club. There is a lack of confidence and belief though.
A point which has to be made; when Martinez said he wanted three " name" players I thought he meant their big name players not just three players with names.

smells like a 1-1 with them ahead for most of the game and us getting a dodgy penno in the last 5 minutes.
Nice preview though -I was genuinely excited to see it back in full force and didn't feel disappointed by the end (obvious sexual reference).
I hate these, ever since little Bobby Stokes in '76, Virginia Wade, pork pie hats, Channon, Osgood, even, and especially Keegan and LeTiss.
Would love us to McCarthy their midfield off the park but sadly if it smells like a duck, etc...

You forgot the red card for the Everton midfielder who clearly got the ball

Southampton were no great shakes last weekend from what I saw of the game. They looked ropey at the back and that new right full could be destroyed by a decent winger. Sadly we've no one capable of bossing that lump Wanyama, could see him brushing Osman or Barkley aside with ease.

Their two widemen carry all their threat. Galloway Vs Mane and Coleman Vs Tadic, not great match-ups if we're on the back foot. Just need to stop balls into the Italian Crouch-alike as our main priority.

Double up down the flanks and then get our two Belgians to run at them on the break, hopefully.
