I think being tired is an excuse we use a lot mate (I think in regards to Gomes it can be justified like) yet every team we play don’t seem to have that problem.

I actually think teams have sussed us out mate, they just press us high up the pitch, and we haven’t got a clue what to do then.

Be thinking the same, over the last few weeks it’s become obvious. Most glaring example was Watford, first half they sat deep, second half they pressed us high up and we couldn’t cope. Been going on for weeks now and Silva doesn’t seem to have a clue how to deal with it. I’ve also finally had it with Siggurdson, the guys a complete passenger in midfield. We are literally playing two men against the oppositions three in midfield every week. Send him to the bench!

maybe we expect so much because we paid so much for them but maybe the truth is that they came from bog standard clubs and are bog standard players

Silva deffo has too try something different now mate. Agree on Sigurdsson as well, he is soooo slow.

Doesn’t look like he has it in him to me, hope I’m wrong but not been impressed at all by his ability to change a game tactically/using his subs. I think the main problem is the three in midfield. Until we get that sorted we’re going nowhere.

But Liverpool have a centre back from Southampton, a left back from Hull, a centre mid from Sunderland and one from Newcastle, then a player from Stoke aswell..

It doesn't. It takes a manager 2-3 seasons not 1.

If Pep came here tomorrow he would need time as well.

Completely agree. No manager could sort this mess out in one season. Barring a serious chance of relegation Silva needs time. Its frustrating at the moment but I believe our best bet is to stick with it.

I mean, Southampton played 120 mins during the week and lost, yet still outran us today. Lack of desire showing and Andre Gomes doing his best Schneiderlin impression didn't help. A lot of problems for Silva to correct. Imperative that we progress next weekend in the Cup to keep our season alive.
