We do need Doucoure and Gray back ASAP.
We've been saying "we need (insert Injured player here) back all season,
I think we'll survive, but looking at these fixtures it's pretty difficult, and exciting!
Say we need another 15 points to reach 37, here's my hope for the results below:
and it needs a couple of really tough results out of the ordinary ! They are marked **

GULP!!! How did we get where we are !! 15 points from the last 15 games is rubbish, but really tough to get. Thanks Rafael :)
Optimistic as well, I don't see us getting any more away points this season.

Hopefully around 33 points is enough to stay up

Didn’t see any nasty frustration tackles either, Southampton didn’t even have to get out of 1st gear all game

Absolutely embarrassing mate.

Genuinely just wish Everton would f'off into the abyss and leave us all in peace.

Good side Southampton so no shame in getting beat, but the lack of effort, desire to compete, willing to run that extra yard for a teammate completely missing......nah, I can't be arsed with them anymore.

No matter what happens, just want the season to end so Lampard can boot the lot of them as far away from Goodison as possible.

For those brave enough to read back in the thread, the question was asked which Saints players would you have in the Everton team.

The correct answer is all of them. They are a better team.

But...

I would say that this particular Southampton is better than that particular Everton team.
Not one Everton player would get into that Saints team on that performance.

My view is that the team today is a long way from being Everton's best team. But it does show how poor the squad is.

I would have Mina, Godfrey, Doucs, Gray and Myky all in from the start. If they were all fit.
That's half the team ffs.

We know Mina is a risk, so longer term we need to replace THREE centre half's!

So the droppable un-droppables from last week would be Keane, Holgate, JJK, DCL, Iwobi.

We need consistency ffs.

The BBC 11 from this shower would be 433 - Pickford, Coleman, Mina, Godfrey, Myk, Allan, Doucs, DVB, Gray, Richy, Gordon.

Just a dream.

when did it become trendy for football fans to be so performatively impartial (or even performatively anti their own team) that they deny that if a stonewall penalty had been given to their team while they were on top, it COULD have changed the game?!
Yes, maybe, but southampton destroyed us today. Let's at least be honest about that. Walker Peters looked like prime roberto carlos, we made stewart Armstrong look as fast as Usain bolt as he cut through our midfield every 5 mins. We didn't lay a glove on romeu, one of the slowest midfielders in the league. The better team won today.

They have a way of playing which is high energy, which means they can blow teams away but can also leave themselves open at the back. They highlighted every weakness we have; laziness and lack of pace.

I know that the majority of you won't want to hear this but today's result was so inevitable that its almost irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The truth is that our wretched side simply aren't capable of winning away from home unless they do it via a massive fluke. Our survival this season totally and utterly depends on our remaining home games. I have more belief that we can nick a point next week against Man City then I was today. It is what it is folks, we've just got to try and get results at home and hope for the odd point on the road.
So Glad I can't get Away tickets! So Poor on the road ?
