You get what you deserve 90% of the time in football. Once we stopped pressing after 15 mins we deserved absolutely nothing from the game. Zero, zilch, nada. I'm guessing the peno over the bar with zero shots on target whole match

The tactics being wrong would be if there was no situation for Richarlison or anyone, and that's not true.

Individual/team effort let the team down. Hopefully Frank learns we can't go 4-4-2 though, or that he can safely fire Andre Gomes and no one would bat an eyelid.

Played well for the first 10 minutes, should have had a penalty, then when they didn't immediately capitulate, our bravehearts beat them to it and capitulated.

I'd love to believe that but he's an utter liability in games we don't absolutely control. He used to be much better at shielding the ball but today he made a ton of rash (wrong) passes, lost the ball leading to a goal for them and didn't do pretty much anything right it seems.

Yeah, the team were also crap, but he was brought in probably as the option to make the midfielder safer and more technical, but lead to the opposite.

First 15 minutes I actually thought we were going to batter them. But they weathered it, we didn't score and they took over the game. We were not good, the best team won and all that. Gomes jst gave the ball away so much and Dele not much better. It seemed nothing worked today except Pickford.

Scary thing is its not a shock result. We'd have been happy nicking a draw but just southampton cruising 2 nil against us them not getting out of second gear is just normalcy. Southampton.
