Reckon Frank, new coaching staff and Donnie have brought in a new sense of hierarchy, with Gomes feeling a bit displaced, knows where its at and didn't even bother getting up, Some of the fouls felt like a mockery of his own teamates. Where's he at?

That's on lampard I'm afraid. Gomes cannot play in 2 man midfield and can be waltzed past by anyone in the premiership. Mad that he was put in there. Donny dropping back in there and bringing dele on would have been a better call to gain some possession.

Look at the goal. Donny played the ball back instead of going forward. Gomes then recieves a poor pass from the central defender and yes he gets tackled. Then Pickford lets it in at hus near post but Gomes is the easy target to blame.

Benitez inherited a terrible squad, then bizarrely sold our two best players and lost the overwhelmingly majority of his league matches. We are dire and Frank can’t be expected to transform this team in a matter of two weeks.

One thing I will say is that the players are all giving 100%, which wasn’t the case under Benitez. As fans that’s as much as we can ask of them.

You get what you deserve 90% of the time in football. Once we stopped pressing after 15 mins we deserved absolutely nothing from the game. Zero, zilch, nada. I'm guessing the peno over the bar with zero shots on target whole match

We said that when Slomes stank the gaf out v Newcastle and he brought him on at half time today.

Its been 15 managers and they all seem to do it. Give bad players we all know are bad countless chances.

Course its early days for Frank but using Gomes. And also one too many serial bad players miraculously simultaneously had thier 1 in 20 good game last week. I was hoping Frank would not have went with the same team and actually used some critical thinking. Rather than 'ye don't change a winning side' brain cruise control thinking.

But anyway. Still have faith in Frank waaay too early. Just he's making reactive decisions like all the managers before him rather than intelligence independent ones.

I do think Frank has something about him, I think he can keep us up but we have so many players that need replacing it will take countless millions and years to turn things around and that is with a board that knows what they are doing, this board has overseen the continuous decline of a once great football club until it is now on its knees. There is a chance that Frank and the new stadium can act as a catalyst for change but that change needs to be preceded by a complete revamp of the boardroom.

I said last week. If you put the effort in and work, work, work everything else falls into place. That work wasn't there today and we got what we deserved.
