I predict a slow start by Everton, snowballing into total apathy after conceding at the 33 minute mark. I predict slow out of the blocks after the break with senior players looking to be anywhere but on the pitch and the youngsters looking well out of their depth and Everton capitulating to a 3 nil defeat.

Was supposed to be taking the kid on Sunday. Lucky or unlucky depends on how you see it poor little so and so has got a stomach bug so hrh has said no. We'll try and defend to get a point fluff it up and go 1 nil down. For a mad moment on the 85th minute we'll rediscover 5 minutes of proper football someone will dive we get pen 1 - 1. 100 quid fuel money saved happy days. failing the above prediction we'll just get bummed

If nothing else, perhaps it might be worth keeping an eye on VVD. Watch not only how he Marshall’s his defence, but also how he organises the midfield. He talks continuously throughout, like a true captain should. Not the fastest nor a flair player, but everything done proficiently and with purpose.

Considering he’s still only 26, you can see why the RS overstepped the Mark to get him.

Having a decent manager’s one thing, but a leader on the field is priceless, especially in this current climate.

We could do worse than offering the sky’s the limit for him in January.
