Anyone read up on the Mars 1 missions?

Seems a bit extreme to me.

It's never gonna happen...but I've had some nice discussions with one of the candidates on the guardian and he's really clued up and inspired to think. These kinds of minds are important for the future of space exploration, even with this project being doomed to fail.

Is the film worth a watch or is it complete dross like Gravity?

Pretty amazing how bright Venus and Jupiter have been recently, down here Jupiter has been visible before the sun has even gone down!

Read somewhere that Jupiter and Venus are going to move closer and closer together and eventually cross over each other in the sky on the last day of this month. Worth a look to track their progress.
