I want aliens but I want us to spot then from so far away that we dont get eaten.

Or they are friendly and not xenomorphs / predator / kryptonians

Although even if we were friendly we'd probably die out from their version of the cold.

Or they would die from our cold and think we assassinated them and declare war.

What am I even going on about
Aaaaaaaand sleep.

More interested in the start of the unknown universe ie dimensional relativity and the nature of time itself but this a vindication of Einstein's theories ...how the F... did he think of these ideas ??
maybe something he used to put in his pipe helped

55 years ago Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space, shouting "Poyehaly" (Let's go) at blast off!

I hope others here got to see it, but the Science Museum in London held an exhibition of Soviet space equipment over the last winter, it was incredible to see what Gagarin, Tereshkova, Leonov and the rest went into space in.

They also had a load of photos of his tour around the world, which is a subject worth an exhibition in itself; where-ever he went tens of thousands went out to meet him, the look on their faces in most of the pictures - housewives, steel workers, City folk, royalty, motorbike cops - all had a sort of awe that we do not see nowadays.

Also for those interested in the first orbit:

Yuri's Night / Cosmonautics Day should really be a global bank holiday.

There is some speculation that there were three fatalities before him, but I have found nothing concrete (and by speculation, I mean internet comments).

The main controversy surrounding Gagarin is he left the capsula at 20,000 feet as the Soviets hadn't come up with a way to adequately brake the capsula for safe landing (thus, some silly people believe he shouldn't be in the record books as the first human in space)

I've heard of those too (well, I've heard of two...), but that's pretty much it, nothing solid ever found...
