Spain v England

If you think this is good, you want to see how this;

There was then a rant how I am the type who throws boiling cups at disabled people. C'mon Ghost, looking back, it was funny. Just had a read through it then and was chuckling away at your "misunderstanding" :lol:

Yeah and it was a misunderstanding, when you said about Your Scenario, I misread the posting order. Funny thing is, if we were in a pub there would have been no misunderstanding because the flow of the conversation would have been instant, rather than on a forum where you have loads of conversations going on, plus whatever is happening outside of the Internet.

Thought we looked well organised defensively, positioning was good from the back four. Jags didn't look out of place at all bar his bad pass. He will improve in that area, Terry and Carragher are no better than him technically but are experienced enough to know what passes to try against high level opposition. I don't quite buy into TB saying that it was just a mistake that anyone could make, it showed his inexperience. He's only played about a season as a CB, he's not going to be the finished article yet.

Barry and Carrick weren't particularly good at breaking up play or getting involved in moves. Baffling selection when you've got Lampard on the bench and no Rooney to drop deep and make things happen. Shauny was our only attacking option really. Ashley Young should be starting every game for England, even when we have a fully fit squad. Can't believe he didn't even get on. Carlton looked decent when he came in.

This game just highlighted how poor our squad is for me. Without our best attacking players, Gerrard, Rooney, Cole, there really isn't much there. Spain are streets ahead of us in that respect, most of their squad is excellent. We would still give them a game with a full strength lineup tho.

I don't know mate, players can make the odd sloppy pass here and there. Ashley Cole did lately didn't he? It does happen and it's not the first time a player has given the ball away in that area. Upson did twice in the second half, the midfield dealt with it though.

Experience could come into it, I see your point. Bar that he looked solid though and as you say there's lots of time to improve.

Jags 2nd and possibly last England Cap, he got mugged off by Villa, special, special player is that boy tho.
I've always said that Villa is a much more complete player than Torres. He would have made most defenders look bad the way he took Jags on. Terry or Ferdinand included imo
