So if this sponsorship deal is part of the £75 million over 5 years (along with USM Finch Farm) reported earlier this year, is it still a good deal?

If USM pay 2.5 to 5 million a year that means this betting firm would pay 10 to 12.5 million a year. It's better than the Chang deal obviously but still not great.

I do agree and it'd be very nice to take the moral high ground but it seems a bit hollow given the price charged for tickets, food, drinks, replica kits and the share of cash we happily take from the TV deals.

All money that comes from a market monopoly which really helps when it comes to fleecing the gullible and desperate.
It's not quite the same. You get something tacit back for many if the things you list, and you have a good idea what it will cost and how many you'll buy. You know how many matches you want tickets for in a season, and you don't buy the tickets in the hope, sold to you, that it will be the end of your problems.

In Everton's case it's likely to be the start of your problems, but that's a different mattwrm

I hated having a sponsors name on what I consider a sacred shirt from the start and still do. But it's a decidedly tacky necessity of the modern game. Which nasty ,grasping , capitalist scum you have on the shirt is largely irrelevant. I wouldn't wear it but as long as they pay well what the hell. We're all hypocrites at some point I'd wager.

Hate the way sport is just gambling these days. Far too much money in the game eventually it will burst.

Back to topic.. I've heard as part of the deal we will play a game in Tanzania. If true has to be one of the worst ideas ever. In a season where it looks like we will need a huge squad to cope with European games starting in July! And a huge travel trip to Africa is just not needed!!

Not arsed who it is as long as they're adding to the ability to take us forward.

Some people will get precious about anything these days.

Can't have gambling companies that's terrible and ruins lives.

Can't have booze companies that's terrible and ruins lives.

Can't have food companies kids are getting obese - ruins lives.

Can't have TV companies- kids watch too much telly get fat ruins lives.

People get run over by cars etc etc etc.........

I have had serious problems with gambling in the past. Haven't had a bet in a while and hopefully never will. It's a desperate disease to have. Totally demoralises you, makes you a horrible person who cares about nothing else.
But no one made me gamble only myself. I voted no In this poll as I know what it can do but I have no problem with responsible gambling at all. But I won't be buying any replica gear. And that's not because of what anyone thinks. It would just be a personal choice not to wear logos of an industry that nearly finished me

We call ourselves the people's club. It's just a made up statement that means absolutely nothing to basically try and get more people to say what a wonderful club we are

If we really are the people's club we would not be promoting gambling. Especially Everton in the community which helps people with addictions like alcohol and gambling problems. Pot kettle black

Very happy with this if it's the best financial deal Everton can realistically attain.
If Sportpesa move their headquarters to the Liver building it'll only increase Moshiri's influence in Liverpool having brought more investment into the city. Good news for the club.
