Easy win to Spurs. The more important game will be us vs West Brom. Lose that and we are well and truly in the relegation mix. I’m hopeful (rather than confident) that we might hold them to a 0-0 or 1-1 result, but it might take an ‘all hands to the pump’ defensive effort.

Lets hope we don't gift them 2 easy goals like in our latest match, might stand a chance then.

When it comes down to it in that last game it was not the Allardyce tactics that cost us the game but a stupid penalty and a stupid GK error.

come on mate we were never ever getting relegated

2-0 to Everton
Tosun brace.....a star is born.
tough one really isn't it?

He either plays decent and scores = he'll get overrated then as people will think hes the next big thing
he plays terrible = gets slaughtered and lacks confidence.

Important for a striker to play well or get a goal in first 5 games, defo 10.

Spurs a little hit & miss at the moment ....so here's hoping.
Wembley reminds me of St james park. Counter attacking heaven, perfect example was when we battered them 3-0 with Deulofeu setting up lukaku and barkleys amazing run...

We should have a go @ them but can't see it... If we sit back then its not only awful to watch but it doesn't work in the long run.

Pickford

Kenny - Holgate - Williams - Martina

Bolasie - McCarthy - Gueye - Lookman

Sigurdsson

Tosun

I'd like to see this, but chances are it'll be a lot different. I think that team has the capability of keeping it tight whilst possessing some potential counter-attacking threat from the wide positions. Gana & McCarthy are arguably our most productive DM's and we're going to need that up against their midfield.

For me it's become evident that Rooney shouldn't be starting games where he's not going to be given much time with the ball in our own half. I think he's more effective when games open up a bit more or when the opposing team are happy enough to drop off him when he picks the ball up.

For me this is a game that we should be at least trying to have a go in - set up to go for a stalemate and we'll lose anyway, so there's no point.

I am aware it is quite unlikely but I would like to see a squad like (instead of parking the bus, fire with everyting you have :) ):

Pickford

Kenny - Holgate - Jagielka - Martina

Gueye

Bolasie - Rooney - Sigurdsson

Tosun - DCL

(As Tosun can also play as a false 9, it is like 4-1-3-1-1)

Is that Amokachi goal from the last time we beat them? Hate playing this lot, especially away. Can't see us gettin' owt this weekend tbh.

While I am happy to see us buying Cenk Tosun I feel we would have been better bringing in a Traffic Warden, he could have showed us how to park the bus.

Can see us with 10 behind the ball and Tosun up front chasing big hoofs out of defence, Spurs to eventually break us down. Hopefully with a centre forward playing we can manage 2 shots on target.

I think if we win the players should walk up the famous steps
and then down again
Up and down just like our season :coffee:

He's clearly very talented, anyone saying otherwise doesn't deserve to have their opinion on anything football related taken seriously.

Truth is they know he's a great prospect but they just can't handle the reality of it because of their personal dislike for him.

FFS do you like EFC ?? Alli is a cheat full stop..how many years have you been watching "soccer"....? You are not to be taken seriously on here for your pessimistic comments..you have a long way to go before you reach the standard of Davek's informed posts, even if I may not agree with the latter occasionaly ..he is a true Evertonian....:bye::bye::bye:
