Spurs

I've nothing against Spurs, but really struggle to see why they're one of the 'big' six.

They've not won the title for 60 years, not reached an FA Cup final for 30 years, played a few seasons of CL football and only in one of them did they do anything. In Premier League era they've only won a couple of League Cups.

In my time as an Evertonian, we've won more trophies than them.

Tottenham have been long term media darlings, but I fail to see what credentials this lot have to be part of any so-called 'super league'.

You've just answered your own question

I noticed from their twitter account that they have over 5m followers.

I checked ours, we have 2.4m which isnt bad at all given our lack of exposure relative to theirs. Thanks Carlo and James.

It shows the potential we have, relative to them.

They were recent Champions League finalists and that gives them a level of global exposure that they can dine out on for years.

You can say that haven't won anything but in the Pochettino years they at least were thereabouts regularly where it mattered.

In the meantime they got their stadium built and hired Mourinho, another who packs out press conference rooms and gets attention outside of the football media.

It becomes somewhat self-perpetuating then, which is the position we need to be in.

Simon Jordan said they will have sacked him as they didnt want him long term and if he won the cup and they sacked him he could sue for wrongful dismissal as he met a target. Similar to Conte who got £8mill extra
