I hate modern football. I'm rapidly falling out of love with it. 10 games. Manager of the month previously.

This is becoming a soap opera. Managers need time to build and progress. They don't do miracles.

It's happening everywhere and with us too. Moyes wins a game..."We should've gone for Moyes". Potter wins a game..."We should've gone for Potter". Fans completely forgetting that either of those would struggle with our squad and injuries too. It's embarrassing how every game creates such drama and an overreaction.

Great post.

What about Martinez

That would be fun
I actually think he may end up as the barcodes boss. His long time second in charge is the caretaker at St James' now and said on Saturday that he'd been apparently assured he'd be staying at the club post the new appointment.

To me this smacks of assurances from the potential new manager as who else could possibly offer him this job security post the appointment? Martinez for Newcastle sounds a possible?

For Spurs I'd love the hapless former Newcastle fan ... Sorry...manager John Carver to make his comeback - I reckon a 5 million to 1 shot but wouldn't that be brilliant. Acted every bit as though he was just a fan dragged from the crowd and put in the Newcastle hot seat, laughable really he was just so incompetent. Had no more clue than the average Geordie fan on the 'terraces' (i know it's all seater).

All but actually cried his eyes out after every game in his post match interviews too - really was just like a die hard fan in charge and was absolutely useless. My personal favourite Newcastle manager.

Moyes has done far more than just 'win a game' with West ham

He has completely transformed them.

Nice bloke. Terrible manager (for us anyway).
The ridiculous thing is we would have been in the top 4 if we had beaten Man U although that is more of an indictment of the Premier league as a whole.

Its not an indictment its the fact that the league is very competitive these days

Brentford beat Arsenal and WHU but lost to Burnley

Brighton drew 0-0 with Norwich then drew 2-2 with Liverpool

Its great but the fanbases are still living in a decade where you had 6-7 teams sweeping the other 13-14 aside with ease and as soon as you aint 9 points clear of 7th in the table your manager needs kicking to the curb.

The anti-Levy chants probably were what done him in, can’t have thousands suggesting The GOAT of Football Administration might actually be crap.

Once Conte laughs his cock off for the second time at Spurs trying to appoint him then i can only see one outcome.

Potter

lol lol lol lol

My opinion is very clear, and it is only my opinion. We appointed completely the wrong manager for what we need - Spurs did the same based on what is expected at that club.

You cannot cling on to an idea of stability and continuity when you are on the wrong path. If I'm wrong then great because we will have won football games and I am more than happy to live with that.

It all looks very familiar to me though. We have a poor squad, being asked to do things they cannot do by a manager who is extremely unpopular. The club is very divided and morale is extremely low. The manager is being stubborn in his methods, and we are conceding far too many goals. I would love anyone to turn this around, even Benitez for all I care, but there is no evidence in the history of football where a manager can succeed in such a difficult environment.

Can't see him going mid-season. Wasn't Owen Coyle the one and only who did it when he left Burnley for Bolton? Can't think of many more in the PL.

Could be right mate but could you see Potter getting offered a bigger job than Spurs? He would be a fool not to take it if it was offered.
