After reading through his wiki, I feel like we missed an opportunity here. I know people will say he was out of our league - well so was Ancelotti in a way.

Ancelotti was still a coup no doubt for us but Carlo had bounced around on a downward trajectory for a while. There were no big jobs looking like they would be available soon and at that point we could still give him 80/90 million plus give someone like James 200k a week. That was all supposed to get us into Europe to boost the coffers, as it failed we don't have a pot to pee in financial restriction terms.

So a long way of saying we might have got Conte when we got Carlo (although not being in Europe might have blown it), but now we have to get over this patch where our loses don't go over 100 million - so he wouldn't have thought twice about the job.

I love Conte. I think given proper time and money he'd turn us into something. I also think he'd leave a mess behind him that would take time to fix. So it is a question of would it be worth it. Hard to say.

It's a nonstarter though. I don't think he'd consider us.

Well after watching the weekend's game, I think the Spurs job might even be a bit beyond Conte. Spurs weren't very good at all, and I know its just one game, but I don't expect top players to forget how to play, I expected to be more attacking, even if it leads to mistakes but I didn't see that at all. If Conte is going to do it, he'd have to turn over the squad. I go back to the All of Nothing doc, and I'm not surprised Mou called the team soft.

Nuno would have lost the game, decent squad, unreal manager, we should of gone all out for him

Coped with it well? You turned the fans on you and now you’ve been playing garbage all season in a strop lol

I think City might move for him in January. Conte might prefer to sort this out sooner rather than later on in the summer; bring in a replacement and spend cash elsewhere. Vlahovich of Fiorentina has been mentioned.
