Nothing patriotic about celebrating Aerosmith, though I did quite like Walk this way
That's Steven innit?

Wat Tyler led the peasants revolt in the 1300s, against the British establishment and the original poll tax. As is traditional the British establishment killed him for rocking the boat.

Interesting fact - about the only thing Swindon council ever got right while I lived there was to name their new council offices Wat Tyler House in the early 90s, when the tories introduced the poll tax. That was a labour council - we had roundabouts and services ... Swindon was nice! Then a tory council got on and we got traffic lights to stealthily raise revenue (congestion/fuel duty), parking charges schools closed, sports and commumity centres closed all over the place, millions of pounds though were handed to civil engineering contractors to spend 3 years pointlessly remodelling roundabouts, which after all that were exactly the same but with traffic lights, oh and potholes - potholes everywhere.

So Swindonians being Swindonians, voted for more of the same. Absolute feckwits.

I blame the immigrants

Someone just PMd me (thanks for reaching out and I shall guard your privacy) saying “if England is so good then why does all its neighbours dislike the English. Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France can’t be wrong. Maybe they should be more humble, sincere and nicer? And stop thinking they’re an important empire when they’re just America’s bish. One backwards land full of self important entitled joyless fat crap tattooed Brexit lizards. The Soviets won the war lads.”

And I though were that’s a harsh view of the English so I didn’t respond to the PM. Happy St George’s Day lads.

There are weirdly-beardy geography-teaching Guardian readers everywhere mate.

Don’t let their vegan-tainted worldview diminish your love for the King and our glorious country.
