England haven't won [Poor language removed] all for 60 years, what makes you think they'll win something now? They've got one trophy in there whole history, we have alot more and atleast our trophy was quite recent compared to there's.

England didn't even qualify for the European Champioships, they had a very easy group. Croatia gave them a football lesson at Wembley and they couldn't even beat Macedonia at home.

Nothing backs up your claim to be honest, how are they more likely to win a trophy than we are?

You have losers mentality mate, you are best sticking to England.:P

Look I know you don't like England because your like the rest of the scouse population. And its as predictable as Everton to be fair, but that's you and I'm me. I will always support England because England has been around much longer than Everton, and is my country, that supercedes any minor hamlet in a shipping town.

So maybe we agree to disagree. I just want to be entertained and I am not going to spend my money on the crap that was on show today.

And to un-hi-jak the thread a tad. I can see us losing Bucharest style on Thursday, and do you know what? I am past caring. Until I see that the players and manager care, then why should I?

It's got nothing to do with me being Scouse mate, I'm just giving you stone cold facts. England haven't won anything for 60 odd years and they continue to frustrate and underachieve.

I have no proplem with you supporting England, not at all. But to claim they are any more exciting than us and have more chance of winning a trophy is wide of the mark.

It seems you have a poor mentality to be honest, a losing mentality. Your happy to go the match and support the team when everything is going well yet when we are struggling you don't care. You should support the team through thick and thin, that's what being a fan is all about.

I think you should go and have a lie down in dark room mate, i hate England cos they are [Poor language removed] and they appoint jokers like McLaren, oh and they bore the pants off me, not cos of where im from. I USED to like England, i used to support them, watch them, even buy the shirts and wear my shirt with pride, but it was never love like it is with Everton.

Youve pointed out that you aint "a local", fair enough, but maybe thats why YOU dont love Everton like us? Maybe you dont care about the club enough?

Yea your right, total bullshit, just like your all scousers hate England statement.

I did mate, I was there through the Walter Smith days, and I stopped buying my season ticket because they raised the price over my budget, after one of the worse seasons of football I have ever witnessed.

I am inked with the club, if I can afford to go I will. But the fact that far too many fans are willing to go and put up with [Poor language removed] regardless just means nothing is ever going to change.

I'm not a negative person, far from it. But you tell me what has happened in the past 3 months that has been positive?

I have no problems with that, If you can't afford to go the match that's fine. It's your attitude towards the club to be honest. If there doing well your up for it and your happy, if they aren't doing well you turn away and say you can't be bothered.

I just don't agree with that at all to be honest, you should support the club through thick and thin no matter what. That's what being a football fan is about, we go through the goods and the bad and we stick together.

Nothing has been positive over the last three months, there's no doubting that but every club has there dips in form and every club has there problems. There are clubs in worse situations than Everton, far far worse. We just have to deal with it and see what happens.

I would have agreed up untill yesterday. We played so bad that I didnt feel even half as [Poor language removed] as I usually do after we loose to RS. If the players dont care, neither will I.

I'll always give the boys a chance.

But i gave them one on Saturday and look what happened.

I'd Kevin Keegan it if they go and get a result and finally pull their fingers out their asses and put on a decent performance.

But i just see us going for the win, building pressure, having some chances and just as we think we are gonna make the break through they have one chance due to some [Poor language removed] up and socre a goal they didnt deserve.

We will then get an equalizer but it wont be enough and we go out on a way goals.

I hope i'm wrong and i hardly ever predict a loss but i just cannot see a win at the moment.

my team:

Howard

Neville Jagielka Lescott Valente

Arteta Castillo Cahill Osman

Yakubu Saha

I still think Yobo is injured (ankle) so id put him on the bench. Imo Valente is our best left back, particularly in Europe and I'm surprised he doesn't get more games. He will combine well with Osman down the left.

My attitude to the club has nothing to do with anyone else. Your basically telling me that I am not a proper fan. Well I'm not going to allow it to dictate my life. If they are doing well and they are worth watching, than great I am happy. But I have put up with some [Poor language removed] over the years, and it has made me into a bitter person. I'm basically saying no more. If the hierarchy at the club are not prepared to listen to the fans and give them what they want, then why the [Poor language removed] should I not turn my back when they are under performing week in week out.

Quite a few of us have seen this happening for a while, and its no surprise that the club are performing the way they are. Something has gone on, and they have basically took us all for a [Poor language removed] ride. There can't be a single Everton fan who has been happy with this summer. Its been shocking, and no disrespect to Fellaini or Saha but they are not Moutinho or Wagner Love.

We don't stick together through thick and thin, what we do is bend over and take it up the arse when the club want to continue to shaft us. Criticise Newcastle all we want, but they are getting their way, and [Poor language removed] good luck to them. Everton fans just can't be arsed, or they are too arrogant to see that anything will ever go wrong, well it hasn't gone right in a big way for a long time.

Of course steady slow progress, followed up by big steps going back. Why are we not trying to get Kenwright out? Its not like he's not lied to us, shamed us, cheated us. You know what I mean? I'm not prepared to blow smoke up his arse, and I am not going to set foot in Goodison until he has been removed from the club.

Nick I have to object that because a person is scouse they hate England? last time I looked I was still born in England, and a member of the England supporters club ,that used to go to ALL the home internationals untill it was stopped not only the Saturday games but the mid week games against Ireland and Wales usually I started going to these games from 1962 I have also travelled abroad admittly my last away match was against Holland under Taylor so I suppose you go to a lot of the games then Nick ? my best ever England Game was the 66 final I watched every match England played in that competition except the semi final as we were lead to believe that was being played at Goodison and was switched to Wembley.I know your disappointed with yesterday we all are but accusing scousers of hating England is silly if I had to choose between Everton or England then yes Everton come first.there are fans of every club that dislike England, but to say All scousers hate England is insulting to say the least:@

Ah, its what I hear and see everyday mate. Your probably in the minority, but I reckon a poll would say that most scousers hate England.

Doesn't the bolded quote just show why it isn't always best for the fans to get what they want?

As i've said many many times before : be careful what you wish for.

Nick I cant talk for the younger fans but we used to hire a coach on the train to the internationals and there was a mixture of reds and blues and alo a couple of rovers fans as well.there is just to much stero typing of our city, none of it good we are just like any where else with a mixture of good and bad,(n)
