Nick I cant talk for the younger fans but we used to hire a coach on the train to the internationals and there was a mixture of reds and blues and alo a couple of rovers fans as well.there is just to much stero typing of our city, none of it good we are just like any where else with a mixture of good and bad,(n)

Well load of whopper RS fans tell me they hate England, personally I think its just Bandwagon stuff, but then when England play you get all the overpaid ego posts on this forum, and I can't be arsed with it. We'd have Lampard in our side if we could, so I don't really care what they earn. I love watching England in a pub during major tournaments. Its a great buzz, win or lose, its still a talking point with all fans and it brings everyone together.

My attitude to the club has nothing to do with anyone else. Your basically telling me that I am not a proper fan. Well I'm not going to allow it to dictate my life. If they are doing well and they are worth watching, than great I am happy. But I have put up with some [Poor language removed] over the years, and it has made me into a bitter person. I'm basically saying no more. If the hierarchy at the club are not prepared to listen to the fans and give them what they want, then why the [Poor language removed] should I not turn my back when they are under performing week in week out.

Quite a few of us have seen this happening for a while, and its no surprise that the club are performing the way they are. Something has gone on, and they have basically took us all for a [Poor language removed] ride. There can't be a single Everton fan who has been happy with this summer. Its been shocking, and no disrespect to Fellaini or Saha but they are not Moutinho or Wagner Love.

We don't stick together through thick and thin, what we do is bend over and take it up the arse when the club want to continue to shaft us. Criticise Newcastle all we want, but they are getting their way, and [Poor language removed] good luck to them. Everton fans just can't be arsed, or they are too arrogant to see that anything will ever go wrong, well it hasn't gone right in a big way for a long time.

Of course steady slow progress, followed up by big steps going back. Why are we not trying to get Kenwright out? Its not like he's not lied to us, shamed us, cheated us. You know what I mean? I'm not prepared to blow smoke up his arse, and I am not going to set foot in Goodison until he has been removed from the club.

You change your opinion on things every few weeks, mate.

Do you not remember this thread? LEAVE BILL ALONE where your exact words and you defended him for the pathetic summer.

All summer you went from positive to negative, constantly changing your stance on things. I remember you said you where happy with the signings aswell at the start of the season.

What's changed? We've had a poor run of results and your on a downer and you don't care anymore. If you want to do something about it protest. There are lots of Evertonians who'd join you, what you don't do is turn your back and start supporting someone else.

That's not being a fan, that's being a glory hunter. Your there when everythings all fine and dandy, when things are going wrong you'd rather watch England and your not bothered anymore. Great attitude mate.(y)

I think your looking at it wrong mate. I'm not going to [Poor language removed] Everton off, how can I? I'm just not going to pay the money into the club until I get a guarantee that things are changing. I was told something in the summer, pretty much 100% guaranteed something, and it was a complete pack of lies. So I hold my hand up and admit I was wrong earlier on this summer.

But I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt, TX Bill, Danny and Micknick have tried to shed a more positive light on things, and I had tried to be patient, but no more, no more can I or will I pay money to Everton while that man is in charge and draining more and more life out of the club.

You know £30 is a lot of money to spend on 90 minutes of football. Add in all the extras and it increases the cost somewhat. I can't afford to get a season ticket because I just don't have 500 quid on the hip. I can't get credit cards and I refuse to go into anymore debt for Everton.

They are a product, like it or not, its a business, and that product is Everton. Would you pay for a meal that was dour and had no flavour. But I am not a glory hunter, because if I was I would have supported someone else a long time ago. My dad is a Red for [Poor language removed] sake.

But tell you what, remind me when it was fine and dandy? Because as far as I can see that has never happened for any length of time under Moyes. Sure it was moving somewhere, and it was all looking fairly rosy, and then the rug was pulled from under us again, with false promises, again.

Sorry mate I might not agree with all that Nick has said But No way is he a glory hunter,in fact lets be clear what glory hunter would support us(n)

Again your bringing up the fact that you can't afford a season ticket up, that doesn't bother me at all. I don't care if you go the match or not, whether people do or don't we are still Evertonians.

What I didn't like was this comment:

"I can see us losing Bucharest style on Thursday, and do you know what? I am past caring".

You are past caring about your club because things aren't going right? You'd rather watch England because Everton aren't doing well at the moment. That's [Poor language removed] mate, turning your back when we aren't doing well.

There are many different levels of being a glory hunter, you seem to definatly fit into one of those levels in my opinion. Your attitude in this thread has definatly pointed to that.

2-0 to us.

FFS the [Poor language removed] beat them after drawing the first leg so why the [Poor language removed] can't we. sure we're having problems right now but this is everton. its going to be tough because its away, but we're the better team, end of.

you can call it blind optimism, but i'm just holding the team to the standard which they're obviously capable of achieving. we should be favourite's to win the tournament, we can't have the fans losing faith in our ability to even qualify!

No way is he a glory hunter. If he was he would be pretty stupid to go hunting it by watching England.

And its quite ironic he wants to turn his back on Everton for the reasons he gives yet says he would rather watch England who are just as bloody bad really.

The national squad are just as if not more deserving of loss of fan support at the moment for their abysmal displays over the last few years.

Well I thought it was fairly obvious it was a comment against the lack of care that the senior management of the club have given us over the years.

I think your looking at it wrong mate.(its a forum, and this forum rules mean by declaration or action that different views are respected) I'm not going to [Poor language removed] Everton off, how can I? (do you expect an answer to that? then why the question mark? its not a good tool to use!) I'm just not going to pay the money into the club until I get a guarantee that things are changing. (changing how?) I was told something in the summer, pretty much 100% guaranteed something, and it was a complete pack of lies. (that last line deserves every penny of my scorn, but because this is a happy joy forum, i will ask, "what were you told was changing? 100%? and a pack of lies?) So I hold my hand up and admit I was wrong earlier on this summer. (wrong about what?)

But I have tried to give the benefit of the doubt, TX Bill, Danny and Micknick have tried to shed a more positive light on things, and I had tried to be patient, but no more, no more can I or will I pay money to Everton while that man is in charge and draining more and more life out of the club. ('that man' ? who is he? and how is 'he' draining life?)

(in my opinion, food is the wrong comparrison, as there are plenty of people starving.)

any chance on some speculation about what direction you would have everton take?

I hope we pip it 1-0 too.

After saturday I think the defence looks more solid. Lescott will suss out their left wingers game. Castillo will be fresh to stick a boot in.

I dont know the situation with Osman but if he's injured he should be rested.

team

Howard
Nevllie Yobo Jags Lescott
Castillo
Arteta Cahill Osman/Baines
Saha Yakubu

If we lose this Moyes may walk
and I fear that we will lose

How would that look? He's the manager so it's ultimately down to him if we go out. It's this sort of situation that sorts the men from the boys when it comes to managers. It's time to go all out attack (as we should have done against the RS - hindsight being a wonderful thing )
