I saw it at midnight on Wednesday.

To be honest I never had high hopes for it, I think that assessment as being fun is fair, it's certainly nothing like any of the other Trek films and it's very new age and daring.

I guess it's a decent watch but not what I'm used to being a big fan.

There's certainly scope for more movies with the same cast which is what I think the whole idea is, reinvigourating the Trek brand and modernizing it's appeal.

You cannot beat the originals though, and never will.
